Litigating the Ali Act, What it is and Where it May Go

Litigating the Ali Act, What it is and Where it May Go
This webinar is organized by the Boxing/MMA Subcommittee of SLA's Learning and Education Committee.

Join us on January 22 for a timely discussion on the Muhammad Ali Boxing Reform Act. Enacted in 2000 as an amendment to the Professional Boxing Safety Act of 1996, the Ali Act was created to protect the health, safety, and rights of professional boxers by promoting transparency and fairness across the sport. Our panel will examine the strengths and limitations of the current law and explore proposed legislation that would further amend the Act. This session will offer valuable insight into how the sport’s regulatory landscape may evolve in the years ahead.

Panelists:
Michael Dee,
Attorney, Brown Winick
Kurt Emhoff,
Attorney and Former Boxing Manager
Patrick English,
Attorney, Dines and English, LLC

Moderator:
Jason Cruz, Cruz Law, PLLC
